The Director of the General Studies Division (GNS), University of Ilorin, Prof. Kayode Lambe Mustapha, has said that the Unit does not conduct any physical clearance for students.

Prof. Mustapha stated this last Friday(August 29,2025) in a chat with UNILORIN Bulletin in his office.

The Director, who distanced the GNS Unit from those who are inviting students for clearance, said that the  Unit neither authorises nor knows anything about such an invitation.

Prof. Mustapha, who is a former Ag. Head of the Department of Mass Communication, said that he has even reached out to the leadership of the Student Union on the need to encourage their members to discountenance the fake information.

He, therefore, urged students of the University, who are currently on holiday, to disregard the information as it is clearly baseless, unfounded and unauthorised.
