NUJ hails UNILORIN FM on 16th anniversary

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), University of Ilorin Chapel has congratulated UNILORIN 89.3FM on the occasion of its 16th anniversary, describing the milestone as a reflection of the station’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to quality broadcasting.

            The anniversary celebration was marked last Wednesday (August 13, 2025).

In a press statement signed by the Chapel Chairman, Mr Tijani Adewoyin, the Union commended the management and staff of the station on their tireless efforts in providing quality entertainment, education, and information to its listeners.

Mr Adewoyin noted that UNILORIN 89.3FM has, over the years, become a household name within and beyond the University community offering balanced news coverage, engaging programmes, and informative contents that cater for the interests of the diverse audience.

The Chairman urged the station’s management and staff to sustain their culture of excellence, noting that the evolving media landscape requires adaptability, creativity, and consistency.

He also expressed confidence that UNILORIN 89.3FM will continue to expand its reach, deepen its impact, and remain a reliable source of credible information for its audience. He wished the station many more years of growth, innovation, and outstanding service in the field of radio broadcasting.
