UNILORIN Alumni Association lauds varsity for celebrating excellence

The University of Ilorin Alumni Association has commended the authorities of the University for celebrating worthy individuals and groups as part of the activities marking the Golden Jubilee of the institution.

               The Association, in a statement jointly signed by its National President, Prof. Abdulrazaq O. Kilani; and National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olorunsuwa Elijah Ola, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin, specifically commended the resourcefulness and innovative dispositions of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab O. Egbewole, SAN, and members of his management team, which culminated in the highly successful event that was held penultimate Wednesday (July 16, 2025).

               The statement said that the Association was delighted that the University honoured some of its outstanding alumni in recognition of their remarkable contributions to the University and society at large, saying that the ceremony was a testament to the commitment of the University to excellence, leadership, and community impact.

               It also said that the well-attended event showcased the remarkable achievements of the University alumni across various fields as it also reinforced the position of the University as an institution that has consistently nurtured leaders and innovators in the last 50 years.

               The Association equally thanked all those who donated generously to the University before and during the event for demonstrating an unwavering support for the growth and development of the University, pointing out that their philanthropic gestures will undoubtedly enhance educational and infrastructural growth, increase scholarship opportunities, and boost research initiatives.
