
Adisa appointed African Telescope’s Editorial Board Chair

An Associate Professor at the Department of Mass Communication, University of Ilorin, Dr Rasaq Muhammed Adisa, has been appointed Chairman of the Editorial Board of African Telescope Newspaper.
The appointment of Prof. Adisa was conveyed to him penultimate Friday (July 4, 2025), in an official letter jointly signed by the Chairman of the Board, Mr David Olusegun, and the Secretary, Hon. Abraham Amah.
Dr Adisa takes over from Prof. Nnamdi Aduba, a renowned Law scholar and public affairs analyst, who now serves as a member of the Board of Directors of African Telescope Nigeria Limited, the publishing company of African Telescope Newspaper.
According to the Board, Dr Adisa’s appointment reflects the organisation’s commitment to editorial integrity and credible journalism in the public interest.
In his acceptance remarks, Dr Adisa expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to uphold the editorial values of the newspaper.
He said, “I am deeply honoured to accept the appointment as Chairman of the Editorial Board of African Telescope Newspaper. I wish to thank the management and stakeholders for their confidence in my leadership and editorial judgment.
“This role is both a privilege and a responsibility, one I embrace with humility and a firm commitment to upholding the values of integrity, accuracy, and ideal journalism. Together with the Board and editorial team, I look forward to advancing the newspaper’s mission of offering clear, courageous, and thought-provoking perspectives that serve our readers across the continent and beyond.”
