
Elelu delivers 283rd Inaugural Lecture Thursday

A final year student of the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, Mr Adekunle Olajide, has been elected the new Vice President of the Association of Nigerian Tax Students (ANTAS).
Mr Olajide was elected into the position during the 2025 Annual General Meeting of ANTAS, which took place at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation in Abuja. Others elected included Mr Isreal Oluwaseyi Otunuga of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro,Ogun State; and Miss Usoro Favour Ime of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, as National President and Secretary-General, respectively.
Mr Olajide, who is also the President of the University of Ilorin Tax Club, is the first student of the nation’s most sought-after University to be elected into the position.
Speaking with UNILORIN Bulletin on his election, Mr Olajide expressed gratitude to all the Taxation students across the nation for the confidence reposed in him and others,which culminated in their election into the ANTAS National Executive Council.
He also thanked the University of Ilorin for making him fall in love with Taxation as a practice through the quality of training he has been exposed to and for the opportunity granted him to participate in the meeting.
Mr Olajide promised to keep the flag of the University flying and to do everything possible to broaden the frontiers of Taxation and knowledge in general.
