We are proud of you, Group tells Alfanla

The Registrar of the University of Ilorin, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, has, again, been commended for always displaying exemplary professionalism and fantastic service delivery.

This commendation was made by the President of the Third Estate Group, Mr Ibrahim Toyin Hassan, when he led a delegation of the body on a courtesy visit to Mr Alfanla in his office penultimate Thursday (January 9, 2025). The Third Estate Group is a forum of distinguished professionals of Ilorin Emirate origin.

Mr Hassan said that the Group has been consistently following the career trajectory of the Registrar before his current appointment.

The community leader appreciated the contributions of Mr Alfanla towards the growth and development of the University and Ilorin Emirate over the years.

Mr Hassan, who is an alumnus of the University of Ilorin, having earned his first and second degrees from the University, urged the Registrar to continue to do his best for the University, saying that his Group has always been very proud of him.

He also commended the authorities of the University for the quality of development the institution had recorded over the years.

Speaking on the comparative advantage of the University, Mr Hassan appealed to the University management to make effective use of its large expanse of land for agricultural purposes, saying that if this is done it would assist in enhancing the food security of the country.

In his response, Mr Alfanla thanked the Third Estate Group for the visit and encomiums, which, he said, would motivate him to work harder.

The Registrar, who is also a member of the Group, also saluted his guests for their individual and collective contributions to community and national development.

Mr Alfanla encouraged members of the Group to always draw his attention to weaknesses observed in the discharge of his responsibilities and the general performance of the University for more successes to be achieved.

Other members of the delegation were a former Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Secondary Health, Dr Ibrahim Abdulkareem Gambari; a retired Director in the Federal Civil Service and Personal Assistant to the 6th and 7th Vice Chancellors of the University, Prof. Shuaibu Oba AbdulRaheem, OFR, and Prof. Shamusudeen Amali, OON); Mr Abdulbaqi Jimoh; a retired top civil servant, Alhaji Ibrahim Alabi; the Public Relations Officer of the Group, Alhaji Ibrahim Shuaib; and the Deputy Editor, UNILORIN Bulletin, Mr Abubakar Imam.
