
Elelu delivers 283rd Inaugural Lecture Thursday

The 3rd International Conference of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin (FETiCON 2025), will commence today (Monday, June 2, 2025).
The event, which will hold at the University Auditorium by 10:00 a.m., is themed “Revitalising Community: The Role of Indigenous Technologies in Addressing Food Security, Energy and Economic Challenges for a Sustainable Future.” It will hold under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN.
The conference is aimed at bringing together experts, researchers, industry leaders, and academics to explore how indigenous technologies can contribute to solving pressing local and global challenges, particularly in the areas of agriculture, energy, and sustainable development.
The Keynote Speaker is Professor Hyeon-Tae Kim of the Gyeongsang National University, Jinju, South Korea.
Other plenary speakers include Engr Seun Suleiman, Managing Director of Siemens Energy West Africa, and Mr Mustafa Rajah, Head of Grain Processing at the Innovation Research and Development Centre, Bühler Group, Kano.
Members of the University community and the general public are cordially invited.
