Members of the 2003 graduating class of the Departments of Accounting and Finance, University of Ilorin, have donated textbooks to the Departments and presented letters of sponsorship to two brilliant but indigent students in the Departments.
The textbooks and the endowment letters were presented by the leader of the group, Dr Kamaldeen Nageri penultimate Wednesday (April 30, 2025) when he led members of the alumni group on a visit to the two Departments.
In her remarks, the Vice-President of the Alumni, Mrs Toyin Olorunfemi, affirmed the set’s commitment towards empowering and nurturing undergraduate students of the Departments, noting that the presentation is part of their ongoing give-back activities.
In their separate remarks, the Acting Heads of the two Departments, Dr S. Abogun and Dr Oyebola F. Etudaiye-Muhtar of Accounting and Finance, respectively, appreciated the alumni set and thanked them for their support and give-back efforts over the years.
Also in his remarks, a Board of Trustee member, Prof. M. A. Ijaiya, commended and applauded the group for encouraging the awardees of the sponsorship to focus and improve on their performance.
It would be recalled that the group had in 2021 instituted an endowment fund for the best graduating student in each Department.
On ground during the presentation were Mrs Motunrayo Oludare and Mrs Sururat Bidemi Durowade.
