Dr. (Mrs.) Williams is a Clinical and Public Health Pharmacist; a trained and registered teacher, in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice. She obtained her Bachelor of Pharmacy in 1986 (Benin), embarked on one year internship with Central Hospital, Benin City, Edo State and did her National Youth Corp with the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin

(1987 – 1988). She was employed as Quality Control Manager in SAM Pharmaceutical Limited (1988 – 1990) and later became the organization’s Superintendent Pharmacist (1990 – 2011) where she was involved in the development of 50 pharmaceutical products.

During this period, she obtained her Master of Business Administration, Certificate in Health Planning and Master of Community Health. She joined University of Ilorin on 28th November 2011 having obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Education. She obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health in 2016, Doctor of Pharmacy (2019) and attended Union for International Cancer Control Master course on “Access to Essential Cancer Medicines” (2020). She was appointed the Coordinator, Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology in 2019. She has published over 40 scholarly articles in local and international peer-reviewed journals, presented several papers in local and international conferences and is a reviewer to local and international journals. She won PSN Annual National Conference Poster Presentation Awards in 2017 and 2020. Her current research interests include Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacotherapeutics, Pharmacovigilance and Pharmaceutical care of HIV and HIV comorbidities including neoplasms. She is a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (FPSN) and Institute of the Corporate Administrators (FICA). Dr. Williams is a member of many local and international organizations such as Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Nigeria Association of Pharmacists in Academia (NAPA), Clinical

Pharmacists Association of Nigeria (CPAN), International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP),

Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA), American College of Clinical pharmacy (ACCP), and African Organization for Research & Training in Cancer (AORTIC).
