About the Dean of Management Sciences

Professor M. A. Ijaiya, B.Sc. (Econs); M.Sc. Banking and Finance (Kano); Ph.D Accounting and Finance (Ilorin); FNSFR, joined the services of University of Ilorin, Ilorin as an Assistant Lecturer in 2001 in the Department of Accounting and Finance.  He was promoted to the position of Lecturer II in 2004, Lecturer I in 2007 and Senior Lecturer in 2011 in the Department of Accounting and Finance.  He was promoted to a Reader in 2014 and Professor in 2017 in the Department of Finance.  He has served in various committees and capacities in the University such as Mayor, GRA Staff Quarters; Coordinator, Faculty Professional Programmes (FAPP); Head, Department of Accounting and Finance; Head, Department of Finance; Deputy Director, University of Ilorin Consultancy Services Centre; Chairman, Unilorin Petrol Station Management Board, among others.  He was elected the Dean of Faculty of Management Sciences in July 2019 and assumed duty on 1^st August, 2019.
