“Dr. Bashir Leke Ijaiya was born on the 24th July, 1970. He attended Offa Grammar School, Offa between 1980 – 1985. He had his A’ Level at the Kwara State College of Education, Oro, Kwara State between 1988 – 1991. He proceeded to Usmanu Dan-Fodiyo University, Sokoto between 1991 – 1996. He also proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University Ile – Ife where he obtained his Master of Laws LL.M in 2004. He thereafter proceeded to University of Ilorin, Ilorin Nigeria were he obtained Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in 2017.

His started his career as a junior counsel at the law firm of B.F Lawal and Co between 1999 – 2004. before establishing his own Law Firm (B. L. IJAIYA & ASSOCIATES in 2004. He was employed by the University of Ilorin as an Assistant Lecturer, Department of Private and Property Law in 2002. And rose to become a Senior Lecturer in 2017. He was also at one time a Part – Time Lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State as well as Nigeria Institute of Management, Federal Polytechnic, Offa Study Centre between 2004 – 2006. In 2006, he was selected as one of the Technical Aid Corps and posted to teach Law at the Faculty of Law, Islamic University in Uganda, Mbale, Uganda . He returned to Nigeria in 2008 after a meritorious service to the fatherland
Dr B. L. Ijaiya is a community man who has contributed in no small measure to his immediate community. He was at one point in time the Legal Adviser to Kwara Echo, a publication of Multi-craft Communications 2007 – 2015. He was Acting Secretary to the Central Working Committee of the Iwuye Ceremony of HRM Olofa of Offa, Alhaji Mohammadu Mufutau Gbadamosi Oloyede Okikiola Esuwoye II in 2010. He was one time Secretary to West African Community in Uganda, Mbale Branch, Mbale Uganda in 2007. He was secretary to Editorial Board of the Islamic University in Uganda Journal of Comparative Law, Faculty of Law, Islamic University in Uganda, Mbale, Uganda between 2006 – 2008. He was also the Chairman of Moot Court Committee of the Faculty of Law, Islamic University in Uganda between 2006- 2008. He was also at one point in time the Legal Adviser to the Committee of the Defence of the Human Rights (CDHR) Federal Polytechnic, Offa Chapter, Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria between 2000 – 2006. He was Member of Team of Counsel to the Offa Community before the Judicial Panel of Enquiry headed by Justice Hannah Ajayi to investigate the Crisis between Offa and Erin – Ile community in 2006. He was appointed as Chairman Transition Implementation Committee of the Defunct Offa South Local Government Council, Kwara State in 2003.
Dr. B. L. has contributed immensely to the field of his chosen carrier. He has published close to thirty (30) publications in reputable local, national and international journals He is happily married with children
