Dr. Odewole is a lecturer in the Department of Food Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering (Food Processing and Storage option) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. He is interested in the following core areas of research: non-thermal food processing technology; development of food/biological materials processing and storage systems for teaching/training; food products development and food value addition and; empirical modelling, optimization and simulation of food processing and storage systems/processes.

He has ten (10) years of teaching, research and community service experiences as a Faculty Member at the Departments of Food Engineering and Department of Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. In addition, he has at different times scheduled for national assignments as Resident Monitor during the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). He has contributed significantly to scientific/engineering knowledge and has published over a sixty (60) articles in his areas of research (Citations: 76; h-index: 5, i10-index: 1). He has co-patented three (3) research works on food processing and storage systems. He is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and also a member of the following professional bodies: the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE); Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE) and American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). Furthermore, he is a recipient of the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) and has benefitted from TETFund grant and local grant to attend and present scholarly research papers at learned conferences in Japan and Nigeria respectively. He has reviewed manuscripts for the following reputable international and national journals:
