Dr Ajiboye Aye Taiwo MNSE, Reg. Engr., obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ibadan in 1989. He was also awarded a Master of Engineering degree and Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering by the University of Ilorin, Ilorin in 2005 and 2012 respectively. After his first degree, he worked briefly with Labeico Engineering Company as a Site Electrical Engineer between 1991 and 1992. Because of his interest in academics, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin as lecturer III in July 1992 and he was there until October 2002 when he withdrew his service. He was the Ag. Head of Department as at the time of his withdrawal from the service of the Polytechnic. He transferred his service from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin to National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM), Ilorin, Kwara State, as Principal Research Electrical Engineer in October 2002. Still because of his interest in academics, he withdrew his service from NCAM as Assistant Director Electrical Engineering and Head of Engineering and Scientific Services Department and transferred to University of Ilorin as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering in July 2015. He was the Head of Department of Computer Engineering between August 2016 and July 2018. He started another tenure of office as the Head of Department of Computer Engineering from 1st August 2020. His research interests have been in the area of Instrumentation and Control Systems development. Also, he has applied control technologies to solve a number of engineering problems and he has published many of his research outputs in reputable Local, National and International journals and edited proceedings. Currently, he is working on application of intelligent control system in optimisation of controller parameters in distributed control systems particularly Satellite and Agricultural Systems.
