Brief Profile of Secretary to the Dean

Mrs Comfort Iyabo Aiyeloja (nee BANGUDU) was born on 14th July in Odo-Ere, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria. She started her education at ECWA Primary School, Odo-Ere for her Primary School Leaving Certificate and proceeded to United Secondary Commercial College, Odo-Ere for her Secondary School Certificate in 1976. Mrs Ijagbemi proceeded to Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin (now Kwara State Polytechnic), Ilorin between 1976 and 1981 where she obtained her Stenographer’s Certificate; Ordinary National Diploma (Distinction) and Higher National Diploma (Upper Credit) in Executive Secretaryship.  She served the National Youth Service Corps Programme in Kano from 1981 -1982.  She enjoyed the Staff Development Programme of the University between 1992 and 1993 at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where she obtained her Advanced Diploma in Public Administration (ADPA) with Upper Credit. Mrs Ijagbemi received a commendation letter in 1986 for the high-level Secretarial support she gave to the Panel set up by the Vice-Chancellor to investigate the crisis in the Executive Committee of the University of Ilorin Students Union (Reference Registrar’s Letter UIL/SSE/PF/1642 dated 27th June 1986.

Mrs C.I.A. Ijagbemi joined the services of the University of Ilorin on 1st April 1985 as Confidential Secretary I and rose to the pinnacle of her profession in 2007 as Chief Confidential Secretary.  She is married (now widowed) with children.
