Oyedepo O. O

Born on 14th June 1968, hails from Owu-Isin, Kwara State of Nigeria. Had primary education at ECWA LSMB school, Iwo-Owu (1975-1981), secondary education at Eruku Secondary Commercial School (1981-1982) and Government Secondary School, Malete (1982-1986). Had higher education (A level) at the Kwara State Polytechnic (1986-1988). Proceeded to the University of Ilorin in 1988 graduating first in B.Sc. (Zoology)  1991 and M.B.;B.S. 1997. Had internship at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin (1998-1999). Commenced residency training at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) 1999 with clinical attachment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (2001). Was associate lecturer in anaesthesia University of Ilorin 2003-2008.  Passed the Primary, Parts I & II (Final) exams of the FMCA in 2000, 2003 and 2006 respectively and was awarded Fellow of the Medical College in Anaesthesia  (FMCA) of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) in 2006.  Joined the services of the University of Ilorin on June 19th 2008 as Lecturer  I. Appointed consultant anaesthetist to the UITH in 2007. Currently a trainer of resident doctors preparing for the postgraduate medical examinations. Attended a three month course in Paediatric Anaesthesia at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMS), Cochin, India (Sept-Dec 2009). Married with children. Hobbies include singing, playing table tennis. Appointed Head of Department of Anaesthesia, UITH Aug 2009 till date.
