About Department of Food and Bioprocess Engineering
The Department of Food Engineering was created from the department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering during the 2014/2015 session. The aim of the department is to advance the use of engineering profession in food production and processing to eradicate poverty, enhance food security and promote sustainable world. The goal of this program is to expand the frontier of knowledge and generate practical solutions to the enormous and multi-faceted problems confronting the nation’s industrial, technological and food security activities.
What We Offer
The program is to promote within the student, the science and art of engineering in food technology and to build in them capacity for high sense of self-reliance, coupled with sound academic and practical discipline towards the attainment of the national goals and objective of rapid industrialization, food self-sufficiency and technological emancipation.
