The Department of Biomedical Engineering was established in the year 2015 to provide academic training for prospective Engineers who will integrate the emerging principles of modern biology with other basic sciences to offer solutions for fundamental and applied problems in biology and medicine.

What we Offer

 This program is hinged on academic training for prospective engineers who will integrate the emerging principles of modern biology with other basic sciences to provide solutions for fundamental and applied problems in biology and medicine giving broad engineering background in general engineering disciplines in the first two years and in core biomedical engineering courses in the last three years of the program. One of the objectives of the program is to produce graduates who are trained to use their knowledge of mathematics, physical sciences, biology, physiology, anatomy, material sciences and engineering to solve problems at the interface of medical engineering. We focus on: 

a. Biomedical Instrumentation and Micro/Nano Systems

b. cell and Tissue Engineering

c. computational Bioengineering
