About Department of Agric. And Biosystems Engineering

The Department of Agricultural Engineering was created in the year 1982. Students were first admitted into the Department during the 1983/84 session. By June 28, 2008 the name of the Department of Agricultural Engineering was changed to Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering to accommodate the current universal trends in the field of Agricultural Engineering.

What We Offer

The overall purpose of this department is to prepare graduates who will integrate and apply the principles, knowledge and skill of engineering to agricultural, food and biological systems using modern engineering and technological approach. To analyze, design and develop, machines, processes, structures, systems and controls that involve significant biological components. The program has the capacity to solve a wide variety of problems of importance to the society. We focus on:

b. Soil and Water Engineering

c. Processing and Storage Engineering

d. Structures and Environmental Engineering

e. Food and Bioprocessing Engineering

f. Aquacultural Engineering
