His Royal Majesty Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekuzi I, the Dein of Agbor is recorded as the youngest monarch ever to ascend a royal throne, according to the Guiness Book of Records in 1981. He ascended the throne at the age of two and half years in 1980, following the death of his father, the then Dein in 1979. He travelled abroad for studies immediately after his coronation, where he obtained various certificates and degrees. He returned to Agbor in 2001. The Dein is also the youngest monarch to be appointed Chancellor of a Federal University. He was appointed the fourth Chancellor of the University by the Visitor, President Olusegun Obasanjo with effect from 20th March, 2006. He suceeded the late Justice Ambrose Allagoa, the Amanyanabo of Nembe, who was the third Chancellor of the University. He is Officer in the Order of the Crown, Belgium and also the Vice-Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council.
