Applications are invited from qualified members of academic staff for fully-funded PhD Scholarships tenable in the United Kingdom starting from the 2021 Academic Year. To be eligible, prospective candidates are expected to:

  1. be available to start academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2021.
  2. hold a relevant postgraduate qualification (a Master’s degree).
  3. NOT be registered for a PhD, or an MPhil leading to a PhD, at a UK university before September/October 2021.
  4. NOT have commenced and be currently registered for a PhD, or an MPhil leading to a PhD, in Nigeria or elsewhere.
  5. have the support of a potential supervisor from at least one UK university.
