The event will be tailored towards achieving the following objectives: • To arouse the interest of people/government in the use of Jatropha seed in the production of biodiesel • To enumerate on the various technologies needed for the extraction and production of biodiesel and other allied products • To evaluate the efficacy of biodiesel from Jatropha plant in comparison with fossil fuel diesel • To create awareness on the merits of growing Jatropha plant on undulating lands • To stimulate increasing plantation of Jatropha for sustainable development and to mitigate against climate change • To highlight on other economic importance of Jatropha plant for economic empowerment. • To fully integrate the use of biodiesel into the fuel energy requirement of Nigeria.
The workshop consists of an opening plenary session with keynote presentations, discussions on specific themes, theatre presentation and exhibitions on various products from Jatropha plant.

Poster Presentation All presenters shall be informed about their poster number and time of display. Authors are to remain with their poster during the designated time.
Poster Details The maximum poster size is 70cm wide x 100cm high (preferably a module of A3/A4). The poster should contain the followings: *Title (20mm size);* author’s name and institution (13mm size) - Photograph of the author at the top right hand corner will assist the audience to identify the author

- All lettering should be readable from 3metre distance
