BRIEF PROFILE:
Adindu Chijioke is a Fellow of National Postgraduate College of Physicians (Nephrology), an Associate Fellow of West African College of Physicians and International Society of Nephrology Scholar with more than 15 years experience in the care of adult patients with renal diseases in tropical environment. He received further training on the practice of core nephrology, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) and renal transplantation at Guy’s Hospital, University of London. He is a researcher, teacher and clinician of international repute. He is skilled in specialized procedures in renal medicine and also proficient in the art of renal biopsy and renal replacement therapy (RRT). He is actively involved in training of undergraduate and post-graduate medical students.
Sir (Dr.) Chijioke is a Senior Lecturer in Medicine and his current area of interest is in the development of CAPD programs for our chronic renal failure patients. He has done a lot of work in various aspects of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in the tropics for which he has been accorded international recognition. He is a peer reviewer/external assessor of both National and International journal articles by invitation. He is happily married with four children.
Sir (Dr.) Chijioke has written more than 25 journal articles, 60% of which, he is the leading author with 20% as single author. He is currently the principal investigator in a multi-disciplinary research project title: Haematological and Biochemical profile among chronic renal failure patients in Ilorin. He is a Knight of the Order of St. Christopher (Anglican Communion).
