PERSONAL PROFILE
I am a Nigerian, born in 1960 at Ipee in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, North Central Geopolitical zone of Nigeria. I am married.I attended Government Secondary School, Ilorin, Nigeria where I graduated in 1980 with G.C.E.Ordinary level certificate. I did my G.C.E Advanced level examination, (University of Cambridge moderated Examination in Collaboration with Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin, Nigeria), in 1982.I graduated from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, with an MB;BS degree in 1987. I worked briefly as a medical officer under the Kwara State Government service until September 1991, when I joined the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital for my postgraduate training in Anaesthesia. I hold a Diploma degree in Anaesthesia from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria, and Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons (F.W.A.C.S), in the Faculty of Anaesthesia.I obtained my fellowship degree  in October 1997. Since then I have been practising  as a general duty anaesthetist However, I have within the last nine years, developed interest in Regional anaesthesia/analgesia, Pain and Palliative care. Currently I am a lecturer I in the department of Anaesthesia, University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and Consultant Physician Anaesthetist with the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, Nigeria. I coordinate the pain and palliative care services for the hospital. I am involved in the training of Medical students and Resident doctors and, supervision of part II fellowship projects for residents.I am an examiner and member of the Faculty Board of Anaesthesia, in the West African College of Surgeons, and resource person for the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.I am the current Secretary, Faculty of Anaesthesia, West African College of Surgeona, and National Secretary, Society for thye Study of Pain, Nigeria (SSPN).
