The Faculty runs the following Postgraduate programmes in the Departmentent of Computer Science:
Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science
M.Sc. Computer Science
Ph.D Computer Science
Admission Requirements
Candidates for this programme should have O'level Credit preferably in any Science, Engineering or Social Science discipline;
(i) A minimum of first degree fron a recognized University preferably in any Science, Engineering or Social science
(ii) Higher nNational diploma; in Computer Science or Engineering from a recognized Polytecnhic or Institution with a minimum of Lower Credit;
(iii)Higher National diploma in any other discipline different from those in (ii) but preferably from Science to Social Science with a minimum of Lower Credit from a
recognized Polytechnic or Institution with atleast one year cognate experience.
The duration of the programme is 9 calendar months for full-time programme. (Course work only) and the project follows.

Admission Requirements
Candidates are admitted into the Master Degree Programme if they have a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) Honours Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Electrical engineering from a reputable University. However, degree holders with a Lower classification of degree in the above mentioned areas or degree holders in other
relevant disciplines having in addition, a Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of credit pass in Computer science from a recognized University, may be admitted into the programme provided they pass a qualifying examination to be administered by the University.
The duration of the programme shall be a minimum of 12 calendar months and a maximum of 24 calendar months.

Admission Requirements
Candidates with M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, physics or Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin and other recognized universities are eligible for admission into the Ph.D degree programme in Computer science provided they score
at least 60% or its equivalent in their final M.Sc. degree examination. In addition, all such candidates must have passed an oral examination to be conducted by the Department.
The programme will be run on both full time and part time basis. The duration of the programme is a minimum of 30 calendar months for full time students and a minimum of 42 calendar months for part-time students.

Graduates of this programme will have the opportunity to further develop their career through research, community development, etc, in their areas of specialization/interest in any reaserach or academic Institutions.
Also they can have opportunity to manage any ICT Department in any financial institutions, International organizations, academic institutions, etc.
