Vol 2, No 1 (2014)

Unilorin Shari’ah Journal will be publishing two editions yearly.  The first edition will be published in the month of June and the second will be in December.  Well researched articles/manuscripts in any area/ field of Islamic Law can be submitted any time of the year.  Any interested Contributor should note the followings:

  1. All articles/manuscripts should be typed on A4 paper in Microsoft Word format, with double spacing on one side of the paper only.
  2. They should be submitted in both hard and soft copies i.e. 2 hard copies and one electronic copy.
  3. Articles/ manuscripts could be in English or Arabic Language. All English manuscripts should comply with British spelling of word and style.
  4. Authors of Articles/manuscripts are required to use the Oxford Standard of Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA). This can be accessed at http://denning.law.ox.ac.uk/published/oscola.shtml.
  5. The article(s) and author(s) of the articles/manuscripts should be clearly indicated together with brief personal details, postal and e-mail addresses and mobile phone number(s).
  6. A covering letter signed by the author(s) addressed to the Editor that the article/manuscript has not and will not be published elsewhere should accompany the article/manuscript.
  7. Author of articles/manuscripts that are published in the journal shall receive some  copies of the journal at a rate that will be determined by the editorial board.
  8. All Authors of articles/manuscripts need not to send any money at the time of submission of their article.
