A. What types of programmes do you run?

(i) We have all the basic academic programmes anchored in Faculties. There are some summer programmes that are unique to our University.

(ii) We also have short term and long term programmes. These are arranged at the convenience of students.

B. We learnt that Nigeria is not safe. How safe is your country/campus?

(i) Nigeria is a safe country. This is evident in the presence of so many foreign Consular Offices – America , Britain , Germany , France, Ghana , South-Africa , Kenya , China , Japan , Italy , Kingdom of Saudi Arabia etc. In addition, there are so many foreign construction companies and expatriates who render their services and also live in Nigeria . Issues that foreigner read about Nigeria that scares them are sometimes exaggerated in the media, and these are not peculiar to Nigeria .

(ii) University of Ilorin is about the safest and most academically stable University in Nigeria . This amongst other qualities placed us as number one University in Nigeria , according to the current webnometric rating.

C. What is your student population? What about academic staff?

(i) We have about 25,000 students spread across ten Faculties.

(ii) We have about 1,000 academic staff.
